Vice President Business Development South Central Division, Bank of the Ozarks
23-Year Saline County Resident

Dianne Jester is often described as the “Energizer Bunny” as she gives 100 percent of herself to whatever she’s doing wherever she is. However, she doesn’t see anything extraordinary about her civic leadership. She first learned the value in service to others growing up in a Christian home. That steadfast commitment to give back has remained strong throughout her adult life. “I have always enjoyed working and volunteering with many different organizations. It’s an opportunity not only to give back to the community but also a chance to meet and work with some amazing people.”

Dianne’s champion cause is Women in Networking, the largest women’s networking group in Arkansas. She is the director of two chapters. With four meeting places, including Little Rock, Cabot, Benton/Bryant and Hot Springs, WIN gives more women an opportunity to be part of something special. Dianne revels in mentoring younger professionals. “When I started in business, there was no such thing as a women’s networking group.”

Four years ago, Dianne created the WIN Career Closet – her most rewarding project to date. WIN members donate the majority of professional clothing and accessories that is given to adults in need. “To see the faces of men and women who benefit and hear their stories is just incredible,” she says. “These are wonderful people who aren’t looking for handouts, but they want to better themselves and the lives of their families by becoming a part of the community workforce.”

Dianne’s strength and compassionate spirit come from her mother. She was a strong yet quiet businesswoman who put herself through college, taught Sunday School and volunteered in the community. Dianne’s father died when was she was 11 and her two brothers were grown and married. “That left my mom and me. She has always been by inspiration for giving and caring. Goodness knows that I gave her fits during my teenage years, but eventually I grew up and realized the importance of the many things she had been trying to teach me.”

Most people see Dianne in a business suit and heels. Like anyone, she thoroughly enjoys her leisure time with her favorite hobby. They might be surprised to learn that she is an avid gun enthusiast and enjoys riding around on her four-wheeler“Getting to ride in the woods and shoot my guns makes for a great day,” she says. “I also have a cat that thinks he’s a dog so he rides the four-wheeler with me and we go squirrel hunting together. I promise I’m not making this up.”
